Carol leads the company secretary team at Air Corporate, where she is responsible for keeping client companies in good standing with the Hong Kong Companies Registry. Her work covers the full statutory cycle—incorporations, annual returns, significant controllers registers, changes of directors and secretaries, registered office transfers, and the clean-up when records have fallen out of date.

She writes about the parts of Hong Kong compliance that most often catch founders out: deadlines that run from your incorporation anniversary rather than the calendar year, the registers a company is required to keep and produce on request, and the filings where being late carries a penalty that escalates the longer it is left. Her aim is to set out what the Registry actually requires, and what it costs to get it wrong, in terms a director can act on without a compliance background.
